1. What is Battle Born Homeschoolers?
We are a nonprofit homeschool hub serving Northern Nevada families. Our mission is to provide free or low-cost classes, enrichment opportunities, and community events that support homeschoolers of all ages.
2. Who can join Battle Born Homeschoolers?
Any homeschooling family in Northern Nevada is welcome! We’re inclusive of all teaching styles, ages, and backgrounds. You do not need to follow a specific curriculum to participate.
3. Do you charge membership fees?
At this time, there is no membership fee to join Battle Born Homeschoolers. We fund our programs through fundraisers, sponsorships, and community donations to keep costs as low as possible for families.
4. What types of classes do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of hands-on, creative, and academic classes such as:
STEM & Builders Workshops
Culinary & Homesteading
Art, Nature, & Gardening
Book Clubs & Literature Studies
Entrepreneurship & Life Skills
ASL/ Other Languages
Classes rotate each semester, and schedules are shared in advance so families can plan accordingly.
5. Where are classes held?
Most of our enrichment classes are hosted at local partner locations, such as community centers and churches in Reno/Sparks. Locations are announced at the start of each semester.
6. Do you offer field trips?
Yes! Follow our FB group for field trip opportunities.
7. How do I register my child for classes?
Registration is handled online through our website. Families can view available classes, read descriptions, and sign up. Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
8. Can my child try out a class before committing?
When space allows, we’re happy to welcome new families for a trial class. Please contact us in advance to confirm availability.
9. How can I support Battle Born Homeschoolers?
You can support us by:

Donating directly or sponsoring an event/class

10. How do I stay updated on events and announcements?
We post regular updates on our Facebook group, email newsletters, and website. Be sure to join and check in often so you don’t miss out on new classes and opportunities!
